Senior Piping Designer / Scotland

We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer  for a long term contract based within the UK

Applicants MUST be an EU passport holder and be eligible to work within the UK .

Location: Aberdeen

The Senior Piping Designer  will carry out the following duties:

The preferred candidate must have Autocad 2D and 3D experience, 3D modelling & LFM Server.

The production of CAD design deliverables in accordance with applicable legislation and standards.
To conduct offshore surveys and production of offshore survey reports as required.
To check the work of other designers.
To produce drawings from site sketches to enable manufacture and installation.
To produce Bill Of Materials (BOMs).
To produce Purchase Requisitions.
To provide technical interface with fabricators and subcontractors.
To provide technical input to close-out process (as-builts).
To provide technical input during design phase, with an emphasis on constructability of the design.
Authoring and compilation of Construction Workpack including production of Jobcards and Method Statement. Ensure all aspects of the Statement of Requirement (SOR) and Scope of Work (SOW) are addressed within the workpack.
To interface with QHSE Engineer to ensure all necessary safety content is contained within the workpack.
Identify increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documentation within the Change Management process.
Assist with development of CTRs.
Assist Lead Piping Engineer with IDC reviews, and flag up any concerns.
To provide technical, ethical, professional leadership, support and mentoring to colleagues.
To respect colleagues, clients and subcontractors at all levels, dealing with any dispute or conflict in a professional and personable manner.
Any other reasonable duties as specified by Line Manager.

Experience, Offshore & Educational Requirements
In Equivalent Role:          5 yrs
Oil & Gas Sector Experience:       10 yrs
Offshore Certificates:    UK & Norwegian medical and survival preferred

Qualifications: HND/HNC preferred or relevant industry qualification together with suitable experience and career progression.
Professional Qualifications: CEng, IEng status preferred.
