We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry.
Our client, a well-known Canadian-based Oil & Gas Owner/Operator company, is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join their Atlantic Canadian team to be based in St. John’s NL.
Position is temporary in duration with an initial term of one-year
Core Responsibilities include support in the following areas:
- Talent Management and Diversity
- Employee Relations
- Total Rewards, as well as:
- Independently manage complex HR projects as assigned including: developing solutions, creating action plans, creating communication and change management strategies for the project.
- Participate as part of the HR team in providing the Husky management team with reports, analytics and other decision-making tools.
- Be a key member of the HR Business Partners team, which meets weekly to enable shared learning and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as HR Advisor/Business Partner.
- 8-10 years customer service related experience required
- HR experience working in a FIELD environment would be an asset.
- Experience in compensation, organizational design and effectiveness and employee relations strategy development.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and how they support the business.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable employment standards and related legislation.
- Strong understanding of change management
- Ability to use data to tell a story versus simply reporting it.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for creating or developing a people and/or business strategy.
- Knowledge of SAP (or similar HRIS) would be an asset.
- Highly skilled in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required)
- Progressive and forward-thinking approach with the ability to influence.
- Ability to take on a leadership role, building trust and respect from the client group.
- Able to make sound judgements requiring confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
