Service Engineer

Location - South East UK

Salary - Negotiable + company van + expenses

One of the leading global OEM's and service providers are looking to add to their service team. This person will provide support to the Service Manager (UK) in all aspects of servicing high pressure Air/Gas Compressors into the UK market.

My client is looking for someone to grow and develop themselves within the business and the necessary training will be provided.

Experience/ knowledge required:

• Flexible travelling around the UK - Locations varying from Ireland to Portsmouth.
• Experience within a service engineer role.
• Mechanical engineering background. A working knowledge of electrical systems is also desirable.
• Experience with high pressure compressors would be very desirable.
• Must possess a clean UK driving license.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in tight/cramped conditions without risk of injury.

Responsibilities:

• Travelling in the UK and Ireland as necessary.
• Reporting to the Service Manager UK
• Carry out service work (manual) (mechanical & electrical) for warranty, commissioning and chargeable jobs for the compressors in service in the UK and Ireland. (Factory training will be given)
• Communication with our customer base to discuss service / support aspects technically.
• Attend training courses as and when directed to ensure adequate knowledge is gained.
• Assembly of compressor packages within the workshop as required.
