HV Transmission Line Specialist - Angola

My client is currently recruiting for a potential Power transmission project in Angola and looking for HV Transmission Project Specialist. You will have extensive experience in HV transmission systems (from 400 kV voltage levels). Fluency Portuguese language is essential to be considered for this role.

My client envisage total of 12 months input to be based in Angola. The service entails engineering support, development of tender stage document and assist client during tender evaluation/contract awarded. The service may also get extended to the construction supervision but this is still unknown.

* Location: Luanda, Angola
* Estimated Delivery Range: From September 2019 to September 2020
* Salary: 7,000 USD + Accommodation and Travel (non negotiable)

Minimum Skills, Educational Qualifications and Experience:

* Master's degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields, or alternatively a minimum.
* BSc/ BEng degree with at least 10 years' experience in the relevant field is required.
* Both design and practical (construction) experience working on transmission projects is required.
* Experience in developing country environments and experience in Southern Africa is required.
* In-depth knowledge of the relevant national grid code and standards (national and international)
* Understanding of the regional interconnection requirements is preferred.
* Experience in utility transmission operations and OE procurement is desirable.
* Understanding of DFI and MFI requirements is desirable and
* Professional registration within a recognized institution required.
* Portuguese fluency
