Mechanical Design Engineer / England

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, for a 6 month initial contract with a global process equipment manufacturing business in Staffordshire.

You will have a HND or mechanical engineering degree with relevant experience.

You will be working within a highly professional team of 3D CAD experts, engineers and project managers.
 

Responsibilities include:

• Efficient use of mechanical design data to support the team effort
• Use of the latest design software as well as learn develop and innovate in these areas
• Ensuring the benefits of integrated design are always maximises
• Use of hand calculations supported by experience where appropriate 
• Working with a range of materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless and Duplex/Super Duplex stainless steels

You will have experience of software such as:

• Finglow Pressure Vessel Design
• PV Elite/CodeCalc Pressure Vessel Design
• CaesarII Pipe Stress Analysis
• Staad.Pro

Good knowledge of pressure vessel codes and manufacturing practice such as ASME VIII Div. 1 (or Div. 2), PD5500, BS EN 13445 and API 650.
