Our client is a leading oil & Gas operator, we are looking for two E&I Engineers for their operation in UK and Belgium.
ROLE PURPOSE
The E&I engineer is part of Belgium and UK sites Reliability Program team and reports to the RP program lead. He/she is the expert regarding the instrumentation and electrical discipline within the RAP team.
He/she is responsible for the development of project scope for the several site reliability improvement projects. He/she supports the projects organization regarding these projects. As well the E&I engineer is responsible for detection of E&I vulnerabilities by conducting the needed engineering studies. He/she is well aware of the legal and client requirements.
The E&I engineer is a team player who closely works co-operates with the other colleagues in the RP team, with the engineers from the ICE department, with the projects organization and with the client organization overall.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• A client expert in the electrical discipline:
- Low voltage (<1000 V): UPS-systems, generators, motors, Motor Controle Centers, frequency drives, ...
- High voltage (1000V to 150kV) : generators, motors, transformers, ...
• An expert in the instrumentation discipline: measurement principles (flow, level, pressure), testing methods, instrumentation loops, …
• Ensures that the client specifications regarding design, building and adjustment of instrumentation and electrical installations are kept up to date. He/she makes sure that the minimum requirements regarding the applicable rules, norms and national laws are applied.
• Ensures that the applicable specifications are used by the projects organization (incl the engineering contractor) for the projects which he/she is responsible for.
• Is the focal point for the E&I related reliability projects
• Leads studies for improvement of the E&I infrastructure.
• When required, conducts investigations for E&I related incidents and develops solutions for mitigation.
• If needed taking part in HAZOP, RCFA, RBM/FMEA, root cause investigations
• Masters discipline software such as Caneco BT, SKM Powertools, Conval, …
• Is focal point for external companies and contractors (when applicable)
• Handles according to HSSE procedures and the BP values. He/she is a “Believe in Zero” leader.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: knowledge, experience and skills
- Master in engineering or equal by experience
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of E&I equipment
- Sound knowledge on AREI and relevant regulations such as ATEX, EMC, …
- Knowledge of Safety Instrument Systems (SIS)
- Experience on relevant standards such as IEC, NBN,
- Experience on petrochemical production processes
- Team player and strong communication skills
- Prioritization skills and high level of independency
- Knowledge on reliability improvement processes such as RCFA, FMEA, RCM
- Dutch speaking (preferable for Belgium) and English (for UK) required
- Procedure knowledge

- Knowledge on condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermographic analysis)
