Introduction

We are pleased to offer the following key contract positions: Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) Package Engineer

Work Location: Oslo (Arendal if possible)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

Description

• Responsible to for providing technical specifications for the SURF components and associated subsea infrastructure. This will include, but not limited to, FPSO, Xmas trees, flow lines, risers, umbilical and other subsea equipment. Ensure best practices within the field.

• Follow up design of subsea control systems and support subsea architecture development.

• Actively drive /support the development of relevant RFQ’s and perform technical bid evaluation for SURF equipment suppliers.

• Primary focus areas are interface with engineering, procurement, installation, facility operations and Operation

• Responsible for the day to day management of SURF component contractors.

• Ensure that all engineering and deliverables comply with industry and company standards and applicable regulatory standards.

• Manage Contractors who provide SURF engineering services

• Provide and manage input to budgets cost estimates for SURF engineering, procurement & construction

• Subsea & FPSO Interface management

• Attend relevant Project HAZOP / HAZID / Design & Constructability Reviews.

• Coordinate, plan and schedule delivery of SURF components to ensure a logical sequence and timely preparations in tender/feed & project phases

• Proactively support and cooperate with all engineering disciplines to achieve optimal design results, including relevant input and comments to other discipline deliveries

• Liaise with class, regulator and client for the submission/close out of documents.

Requirements

• Experience: Ideally 10-15 years

• Education: Master in Engineering (Long experience may make up for not having a Masters degree)
