Lead Simulation Engineer - CFD - Leading Oil & Gas Consultancy / England

Our client is a leading Oil & Gas consultancy in central London. We are hiring a Lead Simulation Engineer to lead a team of CFD Engineers, at Principle level, MSc with 10 years' experience managing and executing process simulation studies and analysis, and communicating with the client, with a very good understanding of CFD, fluid flow, thermodynamics and simulation techniques.

You will lead simulation studies and analyses for clients worldwide, such as equipment design (e.g. cooling systems, pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, or drill bits for optimal drilling fluid flow), oil and gas refinery process and optimisation, oil and gas separator design, offshore oil rig design, pipe flow, or modelling fire risk, fire dispersion, accident situations. Most of the techniques and tools will be related to Computational Fluid Dynamics - expert level in CFD is not essential, but physics and process is.

It is likely you will have worked on multiphase flow, poly-dispersed, thermal exchange, pressure surge, explosion, oscillating flows, supersonic flows, non-newtonian fluids, combustion, fluid-structure interaction, separation; and FEA for vibration, fatigue, static structural, transient, thermal analyses; conjugate CFD-FEA, hydraulic analysis, conjugate heat transfer; piping stress and structural stress analyses.
