Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Global Mining Operator / Papua New Guinea

Urgent Requirement for a senior mechanical maintenance engineer to work with a global mining operator on a major project in Papua New Guinea. Initial term of contract will be 6 months with an opportunity to extend.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience :

• Tanks
  • Understanding of API inspection criteria and be able to perform inspections (not certification) during tank offline inspections
  • Internal coatings, rubber and painting
• Pumps
  • Understanding of pump flow / curves and duties, experience with Warman slurry pumps
• Piping
  • Understanding of material of construction, wear identification
• Teritary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering

- experience with CCD’s (Continuous Counter-Current Decantation), Elution Columns, Lime milling production is preferred but not essential
