Geomatics Cartographer / Qatar

Our client have a requirement for a Geomatics Cartographer to be based in Doha, Qatar on a residential basis.

The role is a technical ACad position and entails provision of cartographic support to RGS, Corporate planning, major projects and operations in alignment with company procedures and values, under the support of the Senior cartographer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education: MSc or BSc in Architecture, Civils', Cartography or Geomatics with a land / hydrographic component.

Professional experience: Recent experience as a Geomatics Cartographer with demonstrable understanding of geodesy, met-ocean, topographic, hydrographic, offshore construction, dimensional control, seismic and laser scanning methodologies.

Proficiency in a variety of applications including Geographic Calculator, AutoCAD Map 3D (expert), Bentley Micro-station (expert), ArcGIS Desktop (desirable), Fledermaus, Surfer and Notepad++. Knowledge of 3D Laser scanning processing and clash analysis would be an advantage.
