THE ROLE
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the City of London who is ideally MRICS qualified to work on a good range of commercial projects including hotels, large residential, student accommodation and other commercial projects for new build and refurbishment.
You will need to be able to look after your own projects.
You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.
Clients include major international hotel chains, high net worth individuals, private wealth funds and developers.
THE CLIENT
Our client is a successful and growing firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.
They are working on a good range of projects mainly for private sector clients including large residential, hotels, and other commercial projects ranging in value from around £1m to £75m for new build and refurbishment.
They now have two UK offices.
THE CANDIDATE
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with several years experience, ideally MRICS qualified to work on hotels, large residential and other projects.
You should be able to run your own projects from inception to completion.
You will work as part of a their growing London office on projects across the U.K.
You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you must have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management and agreement of final accounts.
You will work as a senior project surveyor and you should be able to mentor and manage graduate surveyors if required.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients and you will have the opportunity of being the Key Account Manager for a major client in London.
Salary is likely to be in the region of £60000 to £75000 plus pension contribution, critical illness cover, RICS fees and discretionary bonus.
