Position - Construction Manager (Onshore Wind Farm)

Role Summary

Responsible for directing, planning and managing construction project(s) on site with projects to be completed ahead of schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company safety and procedural policies. The duties of a Construction Manager will vary by client and project size with varying degrees of responsibility and authority.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all construction contracts within area of responsibility, supported by Site Teams at each geographic location or system based area of responsibility
2. Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within the delivery time-lines, including development plans and training requirements
3. Keep senior management informed of overall construction activity progress & performance along with monitoring and review of construction key performance indicators
4. Provide input to construct-ability reviews and manages the optimum contractor involvement activities
5. Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role
6. Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times
7. Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behaviour when interacting with colleagues
8. Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorized disclosure, modification or destruction
9. Supervise & lead teams on site
10. Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process
11. Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget and other established metrics
12. Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
13. Responsible for Business Development, Estimating, and Construction as well as follow through with existing clients

Qualifications/ Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience
2. 3 years of wind turbine construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
4. Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
5. Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, clients, customers and the general public
