Technical Support Engineer – Permanent – Stockport
Essential:- Strong Microsoft SQL Server (inc upgrades, performance tuning, reporting and administration tasks). Troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server (Problem solving and testing). Virtualisation Knowledge (Hyper-V, VMware and Microsoft Azure). 2nd/3rd Level support.
Currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer based in the Stockport office. Working as part of the Technical Services team the successful candidate will deliver, implement and support services for applications and infrastructure deployed to my client’s customers. The role will be focused mainly around Microsoft SQL Server skills, but candidates should have knowledge or be willing to learn skills around Microsoft Azure and infrastructure.
Technical Support Engineer duties will include:
Candidate must be eligible to work in the UK
Candidates must be able to drink and have their own transport

- Performing Microsoft SQL Server tasks (inc upgrades, performance tuning, reporting and administration tasks)
- Troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server (Problem solving and testing)
- Technical reporting writing skills
- Ability to produce technical documentation and reports
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to client sites as and when required
- Virtualisation Knowledge (Hyper-V, VMware and Microsoft Azure)
- Ability to monitor key systems and resolve issues
- Engage and provide professional technical support and direction to strategic customers
