Software Development Manager – 70K + Bonus – Nottingham

I am currently working with a major organisation based in Nottingham. Due to year on year growth they are looking to appoint a Software Development Manager. The manager will have the responsibility of starting a new team of developers in order to keep up with the expansion and evolution of their product.

Software Development Manager – 70K + Bonus – Nottingham

Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery team to meet agreed release targets (quality, scope and time)
• Track QA and Code quality metrics for process & skills improvement
• Facilitate planning of applications software with release manager
• Utilise productivity and velocity metrics to assist planning
• Recruitment of new staff based on forecasts
• Skills development and mentoring of staff to fit needs
• Succession planning for technical and leadership within software development/QA

Software Development Manager – 70K + Bonus – Nottingham

About you:

• Deep knowledge of agile methods for development & project management
• Experience of Test-Driven Development
• Experience of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Minimum of 4 years industrial development experience in a modern OO programming language (Python, C++, C# or Java)
• Experience of databases (SQL or Nosql)
• Experience of web development, cloud web deployment, e.g. Docker, Azure, AWS
• Some UI/UX experience preferable
• ‘Certified Agile’
