Electrical Operations & Maintenance Technician
£40,000 - £45,000 + van + shift allowance
We are supporting a multi-national business who are centred on the development of two business lines. The first one involves the development and operation of biogas processing plant, based on my clients membrane technology for gas separation, off-taking biogas from Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants operated by third parties/partners, for biomethane production and injection into the local gas network based on a 20 year operation lifecycle. The second business line is focused on the development and operation of Compressed Natural Gas and Liquefied Natural Gas refuelling stations for the transportation & haulage sector. We're supporting their continued growth and development which has presented the exciting opportunity to be a part of the operation and maintenance of a brand new production plant, which in turn will present longer term opportunities to growth into production management.
The role will offer a broad and challenging scope mainly centred around defining maintenance processes & procedures, scheduling & completing maintenance works in line with IMS and Group Standards & Procedures.

An excellent remuneration package will be on offer to include a market leading salary, performance bonus and on call allowances where appropriate.

Maintenance Work Planning & Coordination of unplanned works
- Actively involved in asset repairs (gas compressors, instrumentation recalibration, etc…)
- Lead on the assets under the responsibility of the Operations Engineer the response of unplanned events requiring repairs
- Participate to the on call team
- Responsible for the definition of maintenance procedures ensure all works are carried out safely
- Plan and organise preventive maintenance works (including programme management via CMMS tool Altair)
- Plan and organise regulatory maintenance works & inspections
- Manage relationship with service contractors & equipment manufacturers
- Follow-up the qualification of all personnel working on my clients sites
- Define and update list of spare parts & critical parts
- Manage part stocks
- Support process changes by applying MoC process
- Work with Asset Performance Manager & Technical Team (incl. Design Authority/Expert) on
- KPI definition and follow-up for reliability tracking.
- Compile and update Risk Assessments
- Lead safety audits to control supply chain
- Keep documentation updated
Requirements:
- Preferred location: between Aberdeen
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong emphasis on Safety
- Solid oral and written communications – English (and French is a plus)
- CMMS software – Altair is a plus
- Process knowledge or background in fields linked to biogas, gas processing, oil/gas
- Previous experience in equipment commissioning is a plus
- Experience – > 3 years in similar position
- DSEAR in working in ATEX environments,
- Electrical Risks
- Gas safety qualifications,
- Willing and autonomous worker,
- Team worker
- Problem solving and critical/creative thinking
