Warehouse Operative / England

Our client based in offices/workshop facilities near Reading, are in need of an experienced Warehouse operative who can strengthen the team and support growth plans within the warehouse and manufacturing plant

To receive, issue, locate, pick, maintain and ship all commodities within the Warehousing facility, ensuring that all transactions are executed through the MRP system (SAP). During the execution of this role there will be a requirement to use mechanical lifting equipment and hand tools. To carry out any other general duties within the warehouse environment to allow the company to operate efficiently. Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner.

• Ensure that all activities are carried out with due regard to HSSE regulations / legislation and in accordance with the companies procedures and policies, while also maintaining the highest personal, professional and ethical standards
• Ensuring stock checks / cycle counts are carried out accurately and systems updated with correct information
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the warehouse, including the Yard and other areas under Warehouse control
• High focus on 5S principles and Continuous Improvement
• Ensuring kitting is completed in line with planning requirements to support operations
• Process receipt of incoming goods ensuring all information is accurate
• Assist with the outbound process through to completion of shipping including consolidating and packing
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of SAP MRP system – Preferred not essential
• Working Knowledge of Kardex systems - Preferred not essential
• Forklift Certificate - Preferred not essential
• Overhead Crane/Slinger Banksman certificate - Preferred not essential
