With a buoyant project portfolio within the commercial construction sector this company has recognised opportunity within the civil infrastructure space to build a name and continue their growth within the Wellington market.
Therefore they’re seeking a Senior Project Manager with strong client-facing skills and business development capabilities.
Culture is something this company value highly; they endeavor to create an enjoyable working environment for staff and foster a flat-structure. Their directors are hands on delivering work whilst collaborating and supporting staff of all levels. Away from work this consultancy partakes in numerous team-building events and activities.
In the first instance this position will be business development focused; identifying potential opportunities for projects and establishing quality client relationships, should you already have a network within the civil infrastructure sector this will be highly advantageous. Once there’s consistent project activity and workflow this role has the potential to progress to becoming a team-leader adding coaching and mentoring responsibilities in the mix.
Along with the correct experience we’ll be looking for a dynamic, outgoing and entrepreneurial-minded project manager that will work hard and invest into this company’s culture.
Additionally traits and attributes we’re considering:
  • A tertiary qualification in either Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 8 years’ NZ based experience within a Project Management consulting position and the majority of sector experience within civil infrastructure – Roads, Rail and Highways
  • An outgoing personality, confident communication skills and the ability to create long-lasting relationships with different internal and external stakeholders
  • The correct working and legal rights for New Zealand
