TUNNEL PROJECT MANAGER (FLUENT IN NORWEGIAN)

A major Construction company is seeking a highly skilled Norwegian Speaking Project Manager to support with their growth, project management and tendering in Norway. This is a key function within a market leading business and requires a Norwegian speaking candidate who has local experience leading construction for tunnelling and underground projects in the Nordic region.

They are seeking a well rounded construction specialist who is able to oversee the construction, contract management, client interface, tendering, budgets and operational management of projects autonomously. They will be responsible for the hands on delivery of the large diameter tunnels working both from site and office for long term posts and will initially be based from Head Office in the tendering and acquisition of new projects.

This is a key position reporting to the Regional Director to the companies international management. It will be focused on the delivery of major contracts and will be a central figure in the growth of the business. As such experience on projects of this nature will be required with a track record on multiple projects over £100m within tunnelling and civils.

Responsibilities

-Project management of infrastructure works

- Successful tendering and bidding of Nordic contracts

-Implementing quality standards

-Budget management and procurement

- Building and recruiting a large construction team

-Communicating with the client and consultant representatives

-Liaising with design teams

-Overseeing sub-contractors

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

-FLUENT IN Norwegian

-Degree or equivalent in mining or civil engineering.

-Previous experience in roles such as; Construction Manager, Project Manager, Tunnel Manager

-Experience with Tunnel, concrete and major underground civil projects will be beneficial.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Oslo, Norway on a full time basis. There will be flights provided if needed and packages are negotiable however will be very strong and worthy of senior level engineers.
