Responsible for assisting in the execution of the procurement cycle of contracts for multiple projects.

Key responsibilities
  •  Interfacing with Project Managers and Design Leads to understand technical, cost and schedule requirements associated with equipment and services being purchased
  • Production of tender documentation.
  • Co-ordination of correspondence during tender period
  • Commercial review of tender submissions and production of award recommendation.
  • Ability to prepare, issue and administrate contract to the level of involvement as directed by Client (May include site based administration and cost tracking).
  • Ability to work closely with Client, Engineering and Construction groups throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Ability to communicate and report on the contracting status of the project.
  • Ability to assess contractor payment submissions (Establish quantities, apply or negotiate suitable unit rates, review of tender documentation etc).
 Job Specific Knowledge:
  • Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and EPCm projects.
  • Relevant experience in the engineering of brownfield projects in the refining, petrochemicals or chemicals industries.
  • Candidate must have a broad knowledge of national and international codes and standards
  • Proven ability of working on multiple projects (Quantity Surveying background preferred but not essential).
Qualifications:
  • The Dutch language is mandatory
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in purchasing engineered equipment and contract services, preferably in an engineering environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain workplace relationships.
  • Ability to work closely with Team members but also possess the initiative to successfully work independently to meet required deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
