Structural Design Engineer- Tunnel

A major Construction company is seeking a civil engineer with 5+ years experience to join a very large Tunnel project in Scandinavia. This is a prestigious project and requires a candidate who has experience working in technical design office on tunnelling or underground projects.

This is a key position reporting to the Design Manager. It will be focused on the delivery of a major contract and will be a key role. As such experience on projects of this nature will be required with a track record on large infrastructure projects within tunnelling and/or civils.

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

-Fluent in English

- Degree or equivalent in mining or civil engineering

-Previous experience in roles such as; Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Site engineer, Project engineer, Site Manager

-Experience with Tunnel, concrete and major underground civil projects will be beneficial.

Role responsibilities include:

-Work alongside the Design coordinator and the Technical Manager in carrying out their tasks

-Assists the Management of the Design deliveries -Assist external designers

-Follow up design activities

-Keep tracks and analyses Construction data

-Provides support to other departments

-Assists in providing technically sound solutions

-Familiar with Eurocodes

- Basic knowledge with Autocad

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Sweden for 2 years minimum term on a full time basis. There will be flights provided if needed and packages are negotiable however will be very strong and worthy of highly competent engineers.
