A global chemical giant, specialising in manufacturing polymers are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer/Manager to lead various CAPEX site projects through all project phases.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of European standards and specifications of equipment. They will be hungry to develop and be eager to be part of the site team who are the company’s centre of excellence.

A global chemical giant, specialising in manufacturing polymers are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer/Manager to lead various CAPEX site projects through all project phases.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of European standards and specifications of equipment. They will be hungry to develop and be eager to be part of the site team who are the company’s centre of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of detailed cost estimates, scheduling and risk analysis
- Full accountability for various site projects through full project lifecycle from FEL/concept phase through to completion
- Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project team to achieve key milestones
- Input into technical specifications
- Ensure project is delivered in line with schedule on time and to cost, quality and safety standards
Essential Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role working in a chemical plant
- Fluent in Dutch and English both verbal and written
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering, process installations and process safety (HAZOP)
- Conceptual thinker and team player
- Excellent proven project management skills
- Strong understanding of ASME/EN codes and pressure directives
