Production Superintendent/ Operations Superintendent / Algeria

We are looking for a Production Superintendent/ Operations Superintendent to work in Algeria on a 28/28 rotation on a long-term contract.

Required Experience:

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• May accept Operational experience from non-degreed candidates with experience in a supervisory position in the Oil & Gas facility operations.
• Practical knowledge of and experience with the following:
• Permit to work systems; process safety management; risk assessments; process trip investigations; management of change; operational procedure review and updating
• Distributive and integrated control and safety system operation
• operator interfaces and fire and gas safety system philosophies in plan operations
• Pipeline management; produced water treatment; water injection including chemical treatment, high voltage electrical power generation; plant utilities including air, water and nitrogen; reverse osmosis operation
• Gas and liquid measurement and allocation
• Experienced in application and operation of standards and procedures related to Process Safety Management facilities.

• Demonstrable knowledge of Safety Standards and Permit to Work controls.

Responsibilities

• Supports and trains the staff and provides advice in best practices in all area of the operation.
• Proactively assist in the preparation of shutdown planning and logistics.
• Provide guidance in reviewing, developing and revising procedures to current state of operations.
• Liaise with other departments and management to determine best practices approach to challenges.
• Assist in the proactive management of the work permit system, risk assessment and process trip reviews and incident evaluation and be able to provide assistance in incident control as needed (HAZWHOPPER training is a plus).
• Provide technical review and feedback in the management of change process as well initiating these changes as necessary.
• Assist in the monitoring and review of oil, water and gas allocation the measurement.
• Provide support in maximizing operational performance in all areas of the operations in a safe and best practices manner.
