We are currently seeking to recruit a Building Services Manager to work with a well respected contractor within the construction industry. To assist as an important member of their team and compliment their existing resource, they seek an experienced Building Services Manager. The duties of the position will be to provide full services support to the teams involved on their projects.
The person appointed will be required to manage all services for some sites, provide input into programme development and ensure that the works are carried out on sites to the required standards. During the latter stages of the contract the appointee will manage the testing and commissioning of all services.
The person needed to complement the team will have completed a formal Training in either Mechanical / Building Services or Electrical Installation Engineering and be fully conversant with the other discipline. They will have worked in the construction industry for at least 10 years either for a Main Contractor or a Mechanical and / or Electrical Subcontractor and be familiar with the process of management of designers and of co- ordination and integration of building services into a complete construction product.
Capable of working as part of a team or on their own the Building Services Manager must be used to working to deadlines, should appreciate the need for adherence to programme and budget and have experience in monitoring and controlling these aspects of a contract at project management level. They should be familiar with all current methods of installation in relation to the Building Services Industry and be aware of current standards and legislation appertaining to the industry. As this position will involve a considerable amount of contact with both clients and subcontractors the applicants must be presentable and able to demonstrate a professional demeanour.
The position comes with a negotiable salary including all the benefits expected from a main contractor.
