BI Manager – Permanent – Basingstoke

BI Manager Essentials:-  At least 3 years mentoring/developing others as a Manager, good strong analytical background with experience of Qlikview, Nprinting, SAP Business Warehouse, BusinessObjects BI Suite including Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office, SAP Lumira, Crystal Reports etc and MYSQL/SQL Server Database. Demonstrated ability to work in a large, matrixed organisation, successfully influencing others & building relationships through exceptional communication skills. Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects and work streams simultaneously.

My client has recently implemented SAP HANA ERP and along with it the full BI Suite (BW, HANA Studio, Business Objects, Fiori).  Internally they used the Qlik product range (Qlikview and Nprinting) for Business Intelligence alongside the newly acquired SAP Suite of tools

The BI Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and future development of my client’s analytics environment using the following tools: 

• Qlikview/Nprinting
• SAP HANA Platform
• SAP Business Warehouse
• BusinessObjects BI Suite: Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office, SAP Lumira, Crystal Reports etc
• MySQL / SQL Server Databases

BI Manager Responsibilities                      

• Manage and grow the existing UK analytics team (5 FTE and 4 Contract)
• Supervise and support their parent company BI team
• Work with stakeholders across the organisation, to understand priorities and business challenges and identify how leveraging available data combined with analytics can support the business
• Use existing tools (including Qlik, SAP BI and others) to deliver advanced analytics reporting and data visualisation, providing insight into complex relationships, trends and patterns in data to meets the needs of stakeholders
• Build and maintain a `Center of Excellence` for data architecture and reporting
• Create and maintain analytics datasets which are sourced from different systems and third parties and be accountable for data integrity and quality
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting including the set-up of regular reports to track category business performance
