Duties:
- Responsible for all Project deliverables pertaining to materials and corrosion engineering for Wellhead platforms and the pipelines.
- Supervise Material Selection assessment taking into account Sour gas composition and operating temperatures as well as marine environment and local climate conditions.
- Lead pipeline corrosion assessment with associated development of mitigation strategies for both bottom and top of the line corrosion.
- Support selection, qualification and testing of corrosion inhibitors.
- Support coating selection and design of cathodic protection system to manage pipeline external corrosion.
- Lead all material selection studies for pipelines, wellhead platforms and associated equipment including valves, forgings and fittings.
- Support development of all material specifications for pipelines, wellhead platforms and associated equipment including development of coating, linepipe and welding specs.
- Provide technical input to qualification of plate/pipe suppliers and related quality plans.
- Support development of pipeline operation and pigging philosophies for all matters pertaining to materials and corrosion engineering.
- Ensure that his entire scope of work is completed in accordance with all applicable safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Relevant experience as Materials and Corrosion Engineer in oil and gas industry.
- Experience in Corrosion Engineering and development of corrosion management plans.
- Experience in material selection for different applications and service environments including sour production fluids.
- Significant experience in working with FEED/EPC Contractors and interfacing with equipment suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
