Major client's Mechanical Service Shops Department in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire an experienced Gas Turbine maintenance Technician with a solid hands-on experience in gas turbines maintenance practices including Major Inspection (MI), Hot Gas Path Inspection (HGPI), Combustion Inspection (CI), planned inspections and forced outages. Selected candidate will be responsible to
Minimum Requirements
- Supervise assigned fleet of gas turbines periodic inspections
- Inspect all the required capital and consumable spare parts , tools and resources required to ensure on time, safe and successful outages
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety rules.
- Supervise planned and unplanned inspections of Heavy Industrial Gas Turbines such as borescope inspection, combustion inspection (CI), hot gas path (HGPI) and major inspection (MI)
- Work closely with contractor crew, OEM and end users during outages
- Review inspection work scope and all the required spare parts and tools for the outage
- Track outages readiness
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis for all the outage critical activities
- Review Job Execution and quality control plans
- Review contractor Inspection Reports
- Support gas turbines Troubleshooting , investigation during startup
- Prepare, issue and send outage daily progress reports
- Support unit startup after inspection and handover the unit to end used after successful startup
- Inventory and document all remaining spare parts before and after the outages
- Inspect, document and track removed Capital Parts and arrange for repair at approved contractors shops
- Track contractor time at site and approve time sheets as needed
- Report the status of the gas turbine field inspections regularly to management
Minimum Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of gas turbines and its auxiliary equipment such as gearboxes, torque convertors, pumps and valves
- Knowledge and experience in rotating equipment operation and maintenance
- Self-motivated and possess effective communication skills
- Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams, engineering reports and OEM operation and maintenance manuals
- Technical reports writing capabilities
- Knowledge of gas turbine auxiliary and accessories systems, instrumentation, control and electrical systems
- Have considerable practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices
