Tunnel Construction Manager - German Speaking / Austria

We are currently conducting a search for a Tunnel Construction Manager for a major new contract award in Austria.

My client is a well respected and leading International contractor looking for a German Speaking Tunnel Construction Manager for lead role supervising civil works on this large Road Tunnel project in Austria

Job Profile:
The project is a large scale Road tunnel involving a mixture of shafts, conventional tunnelling, rock stabilisation and underground excavation.

This is a key position within the project where you will also be responsible for checking the designs being prepared by the client, ensuring execution of works on site are done to specification and standards, and will continuously interact with the Project Management.

Candidate Specification:
-Tunnel Experience in developed countries
-Previous experience as a Construction Manager / Tunnel Manager / Senior Tunnel engineer.
-Degree qualified B.Sc. in civil/mining engineer, and/or Masters Degree
-Fluent in GERMAN

The Construction Manager must have a proven record supervising, organising and management of projects and construction of large Tunnel Projects.

The successful candidate shall be responsible for reviewing the project preparation and implementation activities of their client. You will be based on the project working with the sites as well as supervising, coordinating and monitoring the work of other supervisors in the team as well as those on the sites.

This project is a German speaking contract so German is essential. It will be on a Long term Contract basis offering 2+ years on this contract and future work across the region.

In return our client can offer a package in the region of 4-5k Euro NET per month + all living expenses covered.
