Position - EHS Advisor (Onshore Wind Farm)

Role Summary

The EHS Advisor role will involve assisting the site teams and managers by recognising hazards and seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining and improving the health, safety, environmental and Quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Construction Project Leader to ensure the good operation of the Project and the fulfilment of all the aspects related to health, safety and environment.
  2. Inspect the characteristics of the site and adapt the PSS generated for the development of the activity in the wind farm to the particularities of it. As well as implant the specific environmental management plan for each wind farm.
  3. Perform Safety and Environmental Inspections to the work carried out in the wind farm and the general conditions of health, safety and environment.
  4. Collect and verify that the safety documentation of the personnel under the supervision of the client that will participate in the work, required by the internal procedure of the client for the Coordination of Activities in Wind Farm (training, medical skills, delivery of PPE's, etc.) is correctly presented
  5. Collect information from subcontractors regarding consumption, waste, etc.
  6. Organize a weekly meeting of the contractors involved in the work, in which conduct training / information to all workers who usually participate in it, of the risks that may involve the peculiarities of assembly and awareness environmental. In addition, issues such as incidents occurred, corrective actions, etc. will be discussed.
  7. Prepare the wind farm Preventive Action Plan, keeping it up to date and following up on the weekly meetings of Safety and Health and Environment in work.
  8. Fill the "Work Visit Part in Wind Farm" daily, reflecting in it the inspected works and possible incidents that may occur, or the absence of the same in your case.
  9. Stop work in the face of the detection of a serious and imminent risk to the health of the workers or to impact gravantly on the environment or deviations serious or very serious.
  10. At the end of the working week, send the Project Director, the H&S Construction Coordinator and the Environment Coordinator of the client, all the information elaborated and collected.
  11. Archive all the originals of the weekly reports and the records that have been published on paper form, as well as the safety documentation of the personnel participating in the work. All this information should always be available in the wind farm before a possible request from the client, from Labour Inspectorate or Health and Safety Coordinator during the execution of the work.
  12. Contact the Emergency Services near the wind farm sites, to know your ability to respond to an Emergency

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Must be fluent in English
  2. Must have previous wind farm experience
  3. Office and IT knowledge
  4. University career in Health and Safety
  5. Valid GWO training
  6. Knowledge in environmental management
  7. Compliance with Minimum Legal Requirements formative requirements of the country
