Role: Managing Quantity Surveyor - Water Utilities

Location: Hertfordshire

Are you an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with a history of successfully delivering prompt financial completion of projects? Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a Commercial team on a large contract responsible for constructing and maintaining clean, waste and industrial water networks? Then a role within this Market leading Contractor could be for you.

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with demonstrable track record in the Water Sector. A detailed knowledge of the NEC Suite of contracts is essential along with a thorough grounding in Civils / Utilities projects. Previous experience on Water Mains Renewals would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be an integral part the commercial team with responsibility for the region's commercial activities, including applications, cost management, forecasting and WIP management.

Your duties will include:

• Manage and develop the commercial team.
• Ensure that accurate and timely monthly Cost and Value Reports are completed.
• Ensure that commercial systems are utilised.
• Maximise cash flow.
• Produce accurate forecasts.
• Ensure contract commercial deliverables are met.
• Mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

Ideal Qualifications include:

• Educated to Degree level, or equivalent experience
• RICS
• Thorough working knowledge of NEC Option C.
