One of the largest international Engineering Consultancies are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Melbourne on a long term contract basis. This represents a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded company with much opportunity for internal progression.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Conducting onsite auditing to ensure compliance with scope requirements, ensuring works are completed on time and within budget, advising teams on compliance standards, reporting on project progress, attending meetings to assist with technical points of the project as well as confidently maintaining a good working relationship with the client(s).
To be successful you must possess a minimum of 5 years relevant experience backed by a degree in Mechanical Engineering, stand-out technical knowledge in relation to mechanical concepts, management of subcontractors and designers in a site based environment as well as experience in negotiating with major stakeholders. Strong verbal and communication skills and the ability to work in a high pressure environment is also a must.
