This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Engineer looking to secure their next contract role with a market leading oil and gas client. You will be joining this company's established and growing Melbourne office working on a Monday to Friday basis - 40 hours per week. Day to day you will be responsible for the following:
1) Assume responsibility for a specific area of the plant and act as the main engineer in charge of that asset;
2) Play a key role in the site team environment facilitating the progress of other engineers and site contracts leads;
3) Provide support to the shutdown and engineering team;
4) Offer support to the operations team for repairs of plant pressure equipment(including piping, rotating equipment, static equipment and tanks); and
5) Conduct monthly surveillance in accordance with area driven KPIs.
To be successful
You will need to be a degree qualified Engineer with over 7 years of experience in oil and gas, preferably within Australian market. Knowledge and experience of offshore oil and gas platforms is essential as well as fluency with ASME piping code B31.3, HYSYS modelling and Flare analysis.
