Compressor Engineer / Kazakhstan

Summary

Provides plant operations and mechanical technical support onshore and offshore including performing planned/unplanned maintenance and inspection; including testing, inspection, and/or replacement of components. Provide recommendations for improvement following troubleshooting, testing and inspection while operating in a safe and efficient manner within applicable regulations. Transfer knowledge and train and develop local engineers.

Act as Technical Advisor on all mechanical aspects of covered units.

Make detailed work scope for each agreed outage.

Inspection, refurbishment, balancing of couplings, alignment of equipment.

Refurbishment and servicing of gas turbine fuel gas valves, electro-hydraulic actuators

Dismantling, installation, and inspection of dry gas seals.

Conduct preliminary inspection upon receipt of part(s) and submit preliminary inspection reports

Propose repair and refurbishment of parts(s) detailing the type of, all identified and agreed 'hold' points, including fit up checks.

Maintenance of equipment by cleaning, adjusting, tightening, performing preventative or corrective maintenance and identifying equipment in need of corrective maintenance. Writes, submits and clears corrective work orders for approval.

Fully conversant with Company SAP, CMMS systems

Electric Motor driven GE Thermodyne Centrifugal Compressors - radial split barrel casing, hydrodynamic bearings, Burgmann dry gas seals, lubricating oil console, dry gas seal console, inter-stage air cooled exchanger, final-stage air cooled exchanger, BN3500 vibration monitoring system, CCC Vanguard anti-surge control system, CCC load sharing control system

Air, Nitrogen and Off-gas Compressors Onshore and Offshore:

Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, MAN Compressors - Screw, Reciprocating, Integrally Geared, Compressors, Turboexpander and Air blowers.

Education/Experience

BSc in Mechanical Engineering diploma.

More than 10 years experience in Compressors

A thorough demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of operations & maintenance functions with compressors.

Experience of supervising Mechanical Engineers.

Experience of preparing quality customer reports.

Good knowledge of English speaking and writing skills.

Proven experience of managing projects with a strong health and safety ethic.
