Mechanical Technician - Gas Engines & Compression / Australia

Currently Queensland’s Oil and Gas industry is in an exciting growth phase with 2019 set to be an excellent time for skilled workers to join and re- join the sector. As such we are now seeking  experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technicians – Gas Engines & Compression to fulfil a contract position in the Queensland region.
 
To be successful in this role it is essential that candidates be experienced working in oil and gas industry, ideally a minimum of 2 years.  This will include experience in the provision of mechanical technician trades services for gas compressor station maintenance activities. This includes the ability to execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on gas engines, compressors and well head equipment safely and effectively.
 
The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Technicians will be able to demonstrate

• Previous experience on reciprocating gas engines, gas compression or power generation equipment
• Knowledge of quantifying and assessing risk and developing risk mitigation strategies
• Level of computing skills Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (Maximo experience desirable)
• Valid truck license
• High risk tickets such as EWP, Fork lift, dogging desirable

In return for your commitment you will be offered excellent day rates on even-time rotation and contracts commencing for 12 months along with the opportunity to establish yourself with an international expert.
