12 Month Contract
Qualifications:
• 12+ years of experience on small, mid-sized and/or large capital projects, from project inception to startup is required • Current knowledge of EPC work processes as well as familiarity with the various project phases and the scope/deliverables required • Solid understanding of the National Electric Code and industry standards required • Excellent oral and written communication skills required • CADD Drafting skills (AutoCAD and/or Microstation) required • 3D Model skills (PDS and/or SmartPlant 3D) highly preferred • Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required • Associate's degree or higher preferred
Responsibilities:
• Work independently under the design supervisor on small or mid-sized refinery capital projects • Assigns work and supervises junior level designer/drafters on the project, as needed • Functional skills in the use of Smartplant review or other 3D model review programs • Functional skills in the use of LFM or other Laser Scan tools • Provide drawing layout and design development, applying industry and client standards and codes • Guide and/or assist on 3D modelling • Have a solid understanding of materials and material specification to generate Material Take Off document • Generate Construction Work Package writeups • Provide QA/QC checking on design deliverables • Assists or drives the development of Total Installed Cost (TIC) and engineering estimates • Exhibit well developed technical knowledge, skills and supervisory skills • Interact and guide our work-share offices, provide coordination and provide quality assurance
