Primary Objective |
To perform the role of Rotating Equipment Engineer in a client oversight team, assisting the Engineering Manager in the supervision of the selected FEED and EPCIC Contractor. This includes taking full responsibility for all assigned Rotating Equipment related activities during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Follow-on Engineering stages, through to final Commissioning and Start-up of the Shwe Phase 3 Project. |

Key Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of work experience of which at least 10 years must be in the upstream Offshore Oil & Gas industry
- Previously worked on integrated projects with CAPEX in excess of $100MM.
- Preference for previous experience working for an Oil and Gas Operator in a client oversight team during FEED and EPCIC stages of an offshore project
- Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of machinery systems is strongly desired
- Preference for previous experience working on projects which include brownfield scope of work
Critical Technical Skills and Capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, specification, selection, and procurement of large offshore rotating equipment including, compressors, pumps, packages and ancillary equipment
- Specific experience in the design, specification and operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors on a stand-alone compression platform is an advantage
- Knowledge / experience of the design and operation of Aero Derivative Gas Turbines and their supporting systems from reputed suppliers such as Rolls Royce, Dresser Rand, Solar, and GE
- A good working knowledge of machinery rotor-dynamics, machinery performance calculations, lubrication, shaft sealing, and machinery selection criteria is essential
- Shall be familiar with industry standard machinery control and monitoring systems design and have knowledge and experience of machine performance testing protocols
- Must possess a good understanding of the basic discipline work processes of a FEED and EPCIC project
- Must be well versed with relevant international codes and standards such as API and ISO for machinery equipment

Position Responsibilities |
- Client supervision of all design activities related to Mechanical Rotating Equipment of the Offshore Facilities to be carried out by EPCIC Contractor
- Monitor Contractor scope of work to ensure compliance with BOD and all other contractual requirements
- Review and approve mechanical documentation prepared by the Contractor including Technical Specifications, Design Basis documents, arrangement drawings, detailed design calculations and analyses, design reports, procedures, data sheets, and detailed drawings
- Review and approve all relevant Technical Queries, Design Changes and Technical Deviation Requests raised by the Contractor in a timely manner
- Ensure all project deliverables and activities are delivered in accordance with the project milestone dates
- Ensure interfaces between mechanical and other engineering disciplines are properly managed
- Participate in Design Reviews including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL/3D model reviews as required
- Provide Mechanical discipline input to engineering deliverables produced by other disciplines as required
- Review and approve TBE and material purchase requisitions for all main rotating equipment items in addition to packages containing rotating equipment
- Oversee Contractor/Supplier activities including attendance to inspections to ensure machinery is constructed to the requirements of the standards, specifications, drawings and procedures
- Witness and approve Factory Acceptance Tests held at vendor facilities
- Provide technical support, oversee, monitor, review and endorse Contractors’ work during the load out, transportation, installation and HUC stages of the project
- Provide technical support to Operations teams post-handover if required
- Willingness to travel and relocate to work sites including offshore
