Introduction
We are pleased to offer the following contract opportunity of a Rig Mechanic based in Offshore, NL.

Description
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Report to Chief Engineer;
- Make a planning and coordinating the daily work;
- Responsible for the safety, maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment on board;
- Ensure legislations, regulations and company requirements relevant to his daily operational responsibilities are being met;
- Delegate tasks and duties to the appropriate personnel during his watch;
- Maintaining the Planned Maintenance System;
- Responsible for the follow up of the Company QHSSE policies, procedures and standards within his divisions, and for all work activities under his authority during his watch;
- As instructed by Chief Engineer: support role for the technical operation and maintenance;
- Perform first line maintenance and troubleshooting for the vessel’s ICT network
Requirements
- All by STCW for this position required certificates and licenses;
- At least two years experience on a similar drill ship required
- Seaman Medical certificate (STCW Codes - R I/9)
- Seaman's book
- Basic safety ( STCW Codes A-VI/1 par 1-4)
- Certificate of Competence / Licence (STCW Codes A-II, A-III)
- High Voltage (Synergy only) (STCW Codes - A-III/1)
- Advance fire fighting (STCW Codes - A-VI/3)
- Proficiency in survival craft & rescue boats other than fast rescue boats (STCW A-VI/2 par 1)
- Medical first aid (STCW Codes A-VI/4 par 1-3)
- Working at Heights (unless it is included in rescue at height training)
- Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STCW Codes A-VI/6-2)
- Dynamic Positioning Maintenance Course
- Dynamic Positioning Type Specific Maintenance Course
- HUET (including EBS) OPITO/OLF (applicable for Explorer and Synergy ONLY)
- Engine-Room Resource Management (STCW Codes - A-III/1)
- Passport (validity at least 6 months)
Competency & Experience:
- Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing;
- Able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as an Electrical Technical Officer as per STCW;
- Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards;
- Industrial Mechanic Experience Asset
- Knowledge of the equipment and procedures they are responsible for.
