Introduction

We are pleased to offer the following contract opportunity of a A/B Roughneck based in Offshore, NL.

Start Date: ASAP

Description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Boatswain/driller/;
  • Is obligated to execute the safety- and environmental policy on board;
  • Always to comply with (inter)national legislation, flag state requirements, accepted industry standards, Company decrees and contracts;
  • To execute all possible assigned general deck and watch activities such as but not limited to loading/unloading, maintenance, conservation, cleaning and tidying activities, lashing, securing cargo, manning mooring stations, lookout and deck watch;
  • Working within other departments as instructed;
  • Act as roughneck during drilling and assist in all drilling activities;
  • Assist other contractors as instructed by Boatswain;
  • Manning of helideck as a OEHTM;
  • Gangway watch in Port as required;
  • Follow up waste management system; garbage treated, handled and stored according to procedure;
  • Follow up chemicals (COSHH); storage, handling and disposal according to procedure.

Requirements

  • At least two years experience on a similar drill ship
  • Certificate of Competence (STCW CODES - A-II, A-III)
  • Licence Security awareness training (STCW CODES - A-VI/6-1)
  • Medical first aid (STCW CODES - A-VI/4 par 1-3)
  • Cargo Crane Certificate (for 10t crane)
  • Fast Rescue Craft Training (applicable for Explorer and Synergy ONLY)
  • Passport (validity at least 6 months)
  • Vaccinationbook / vaccinations
  • HUET (including EBS) OPITO/OLF

Competency & Experience:

  • Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing;
  • Able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as an AB/Roughneck;
  • Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards;
  • Knowledge of the equipment and procedures he is responsible for.
  • Relevant work experience.
