The Requisition Technician is a contract position hired to work under The Client’s technical direction, policies, and procedures.
Role Description:
Position collaborates with various levels of stakeholders to process requests and resolve issues in a timely manner. Position performs efficient and timely processing of material and service requisition transactions including the following: Purchase requisition (PR) creation, PR request queue management, and invoice exception resolution management.
Job Responsibilities:
- • Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunities
- • Become familiar with and comply with The Client’s bookkeeping, data entry, and cost control procedures and practices
- • Conduct data analysis and preparing presentations to support the PtP (Procure to Pay) Lead who manages the wider ReqTech, PtP Analyst, and Track teams
- • Provide back-up support
- • Identify and resolve PtP non-compliance through awareness, training, and escalation and work with the various teams to resolve PoT (Payment On Time) issues
- • Create material and service requisitions in SAP
- • Track requisitions through Purchase Order creation
- • Work closely with buyers to monitor and track requisitions through the Purchase Order process
- • Provide information and training concerning service/material requisition entry to operators
- • Analyze, prepare, and issue routine reports
- • Identify performance improvement opportunities
- • Perform other roles within the scope of the process and/or department as assigned and agreed with the Line Manager
Qualifications & Skills for Success:
- • Safety Champion – portrays a personal example of excellent safety, performance, mindset, and commitment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with business cost data (preferred)
- • Knowledgeable of standard business cost control procedures and practices
- • Intermediate/advanced level in SAP, MS Excel, MS Word
- • Excellent oral and written communication skills
- • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- • Demonstrate the belief that accidents are preventable by including safety in assigned work activities
- • Create and share a personal safety plan with The Client
- • Participate in safety meetings
