Operations Engineer

We are currently looking for an Operations Engineer for a Major Service company. The role is a contract role and based in Aberdeen.

Duties:

• Ensuring all engineering changes on the ISP are registered, controlled and carried out in compliance with the appropriate authorities, procedures and safe working practices
• Sharing responsibility with the Rig Manager for the operations and maintenance budgetary planning and control
• Responsible for recommending purchase approval of all parts, equipment and services outwith his / her own budgetary limit
• Responsible for highlighting all costs which may be reimbursable from the client and the supply of pertinent back-up

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Department of Transport Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer Class 1 Motor (STCW.95).
• Experience in a similar role and be certified to work offshore.
• Experience in the running and maintenance of jack-ups would be an advantage and a good understanding of legislation appertaining to the classification of ships and verification of offshore installations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and risk management skills.
