Business Analyst – 6 months Contract – Newbury/Spain
Business Analyst ESSENTIAL – LIMS (Labvantage) System experience an advantage but training will be given, preference for a similar system would be an advantage. Spanish language would be beneficial.
My client is currently implementing a LIMS system globally and require a LIMS Business Analyst to act as a primary business contact for sites helping with data setup and mapping their business process to the LIMS system.
The initial site is in northern Spain in the Pyrenees mountains so Spanish Language skills are ideal but not necessary. The role will mean some travelling with the first 2-3 months needing at least 50% - 70% travelling for training and get up to speed with the site. The LIMS being implemented is Labvantage so experience of this or similar LIMS packages is ideal but not necessary. Training on all aspects will be given and the role will be supported by our strong global team.
Business Analyst Primary Tasks and responsibilities-
Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or Bioinformatics OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
Additional certification is a plusLanguage proficiencies

Business Analyst Primary Tasks and responsibilities-
- Analyses business processes and helps define and document business requirements. - Identifies compliance risks and communicates to appropriate level of management. - Applies procedures and processes effectively.
- Tests and troubleshoots new software or enhancements to existing software to ensure solutions are delivered with quality, on-time, and in accordance with business requirements.
- Troubleshoots and facilitates the resolution of issues with existing platforms and takes pro-active actions to avoid issues to occur.
- Participates in technical design, contributing insights and ideas that help translate business needs into solution specifications.
- Recommends solutions to management that balance the competing needs for innovation and standardization/process harmonization, leveraging targeted research.
- Builds productive relationships and networks with business partners by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively to questions and problems.
- Gains an understanding of business opportunities and challenges and identifies potential solutions that can add business value.
- Manages to milestones by identifying critical project issues such as resource needs and contingencies.
- Optimizes existing technology by identifying new ways to provide value to the business partner group.

- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
