Associate Director Transportation - Malaysia

We are seeking an Associate Director for the Transportation Division of a major consultancy. The role is to be based in the Kuala Lumpur office.

Opportunity:

My client is a leading International Multi Disciplinary Consultancy who has a very strong reputation have successfully delivered a wide range of high profile project both on a regional and global basis. As part of continued growth they are looking to strengthen their transportation division in Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

The successful individual shall be responsible for maintaining and managing established business and projects across the Road, Rail & Aviation sectors. Key areas that are required include:

Business Development

  • Client Management - Expanding on existing and developing new relationships
  • Growth Strategy - work with leadership to growth presence in Malaysia.
  • Business promotion - through personal networks and connections as well and industry events etc.

Project Management / Delivery

  • Project Delivery - Act as Project Director/ Manager on Transportation projects
  • Project Development - Provide guidance & oversight of project development
  • Stakeholder management - Ensuring client satisfaction
  • Quality Management - Compliance with companies HSE, QA and reporting processes
  • Financial Management - Ensure project budget and profitability.

Staff Management

  • To grow the Transportation division

Key requirements for the role:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or related subject)
  • Ideally a Malaysian Registered as Professional Engineer
  • 20+ years technical delivery and management of projects.
  • 5+ years leading and managing business development
  • Strong knowledge of the Malaysian transportation / infrastructure field, ideally with existing networks.
  • Strong communication skills.

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication, knowledge of Malay could be beneficial but not essential.

Salary Package:

This is an expert position with the salary dependent on experience. This would be a lucrative assignment for the correctly qualified individual.
