Project Engineer - Major Oil and Gas Operator / Australia

Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join them for an initial 12 month contract.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

• Develop engineering solutions to ensure safe and reliable operations which may include additional new or temporary equipment
• Lead multi?disciplinary ad-hoc capital projects from problem identification through to handover to operations
• Manage the design, detailed engineering, and work management planning of facilities process modifications using an MOC process
• Management of multiple long term campaigns including teams of both on and offshore of subcontractors
• Critical Control ownership
• Root cause analysis for process equipment failures
• Key participant in HAZIDs
• Procedure writing for MOCs and operation of temporary equipment

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor level degree or higher in Engineering
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
• Strong stakeholder management
• Deal with ambiguity, navigate complexity and drive project outcomes with little guidance
• Technical depth in Structural and Integrity Engineering
• Previous site/construction experience
• Involvement in Mechanical and Civil related projects
• Demonstrated previous experience in a Project Engineer role.
