Internal Control Staff Specialist
Location: Muscat, Oman
Start: ASAP
Permanent staff role
Salary: Negotiable
Coordinate all formal audit processes and execution of plans with the responsible parties to address findings. Audits include but are not limited to: annual and ad-hoc EPSAs audits, quarterly / annual financials and internal audits lead by home office.
Create and maintain a summary matrix of the status of all reviews on an annual basis that covers the defined scopes, observations and actions plan.
Identify on an annual basis with Management the areas of risk for review and assessment of controls.
Develop risk matrix to identify contracts for review on an annual basis. Carry out reviews for contracts identified as high risk.
Propose existing controls enhancements and potential new controls to adjust to changing business conditions, risks and needs.
Establish and monitor KPIs and reports as appropriate.
Develop and mentor Accounting / Finance professionals in the area of Internal Controls & Audit.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preference to have audit certification.
Minimum 10 years experience in internal controls and audit.
Preferred to have experience with one of auditing firms.
Minimum 5 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with internal and outside stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multitasking.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
