Applications Engineer - New equipment

Location: Surrey

Salary: Up to £52k basic + bonus (approx. 15%) + company car + benefits

Our client is a leading Global OEM and service provider of rotating equipment.

The position will represent the Turbo-machinery Sales Business Unit represented in the main sales locations around Europe.

Experience/ knowledge required:

  • Fluent in English - both written and verbal.
  • Qualified within a relevant subject - ideally BSc (Hons) Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, preferably turbo-machinery - compressors, steam turbines etc.
  • Experience with new equipment within an application or design engineering role.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, to the company's UK and European New Equipment sales teams, mainly compressors, and steam & gas turbines.
  • Working closely with the Engineering Departments within the division.
  • Providing guidance to customers with selections and concepts during project definition stage.
  • Developing optimum compression solutions meeting both customer and company requirements.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for technical advice and consultation to potential customers.
