Conduct front line planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance of C&I equipment across all plants in a newly created position, where you:
· Install, replace, maintain, fault-find, commission and calibrate all types of process and analytical instrumentation;
· Conduct inspection, component replacement, fault-finding, commissioning and position
calibration of electrical and pneumatic actuators
· work in partnership the DCS / C&I Engineer based at other power stations with technical investigations and improvement projects to establish and work to consistent standards
C&I maintenance Technician

? C&I maintenance Technician
You start off by learning about our Biomass Plants and your role as part of our maintenance team in looking after C&I equipment. Your knowledge and expertise will be applied in our Margam Plant, but will support other sites.
This includes:
· Primary focus will be on delivering maintenance of field devices
· Updating and maintaining maintenance records within the Biomass Power Plant’s CMMS in a concise yet detailed manner
· Requiring the minimum of supervision, you will be highly self-motivated, having a can-do attitude with an eye for identifying and recommending maintenance improvement opportunities
· Actively contribute to the safe, efficient and cost-effective running of the Biomass Power Plant
· Being highly motivated and well organised, you will be responsible for the quality of your work, with a target of zero re-work with a strong focus of “right first time” maintenance execution
· Developing knowledge of Control Systems, with a view to take on ownership of routine tasks
· Required to work at height and work in confined spaces
· Able to work with Computers with sound knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office products
· Flexible approach to hours of work, particularly during plant outages when weekends, nights and bank holidays will have to be worked

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
· Completion of a heavily instrumentation-biased apprenticeship, with ONC / OND in
Instrumentation & Control or Electrical / Electronic Engineering, plus NVQ L3 in Instrumentation or other vocational equivalent
· At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience of working with an industrial process
· Practical maintenance and fault-finding experience of process, analytical field instrumentation and loops, including temperature, level, pressure, flow, pH, conductivity and CEMS systems
· Knowledge and experience of working on electrical and pneumatically actuated control valves plus associated valve instrumentation
· Experience of working with defined responsibilities within a Safe System of Work, such as a Permit to Work System
· Experience of using Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP or Maximo
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
· CompEx Ex01-04 Gas and Ex05-06 Dust Modules
· Experience of working on Safety Instrumented Systems
· At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience of working in a heavy industrial process sector such as power generation, oil and gas or steel production
· Knowledge of instrumentation associated with steam raising and steam turbine plant
· Experience of working on SMART Instrumentation using the HART communications protocol
· Appreciation of industrial networking protocols such as Profibus, Modbus and Industrial Ethernet
