- Supports the Lead Scheduler as block-area schedule lead for all schedule and progress interfaces & deliverables
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of Contractor schedule & progress-related reports and deliverables
- Input to and maintenance of standard schedule-related reporting formats including progress, manpower, productivity, schedule performance & field verification
- Identification & communication of block / plant critical & near-critical paths
- Interface & reconciliation with Cost Control, Change Management & procurement data / processes
- Coordination & analysis of block-specific schedule data including; performance, manpower needs, forecasting, physical progress (% comp)
- Identification of block-area schedule opportunities/ vulnerabilities
- Block-specific progress and schedule reports, manpower forecasts & KPIs
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in project scheduling and earned value management
- Turnaround experience preferred
- A university degree in engineering, skilled trade designation or 7+ years related project controls experience
- Must be proficient in Primavera Portfolio Management
- Must be proficient in MS Office
- Is familiar with, and is fully capable of application of skills and methods in scheduling and progress methodologies as contained in AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practices. Sound understanding of project delivery phases, activities performed in each phase, and associated deliverables.
- Have experience working on major turnarounds and projects within the Oil and Gas, Power and industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, construction sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, commissioning and start up
- Capable of managing impact of change & trends as it relates to manpower requirements, schedule performance and trending analysis
- Working knowledge of Risk Management principles and methodologies
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement (EVM – ANSI EIA-748B) in engineering, procurement & construction
- Full understanding of cross-functional interfaces with engineering, procurement – materials & sub-contracts, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, and operations
- Ability to work well as an integral part of a large team team that includes the customer, engineering disciplines, execution management team, and 3rd party suppliers
- Capable of developing and delivering a professional presentation in slide show, report and verbal format
- Effective analytical and problem- solving skills
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, individuals both inside and outside the execution team
