Residential Assignment based in Muscat
Role Synopsis
"Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Planner has an important part of operations engagement on the client Project. The maintenance planner will provide planning support to the R&M team based at site utilising the client's Work Management System SAP and an interim maintenance program in Excel.
The maintenance planner will take a lead role in the implementation of good work management practices and drive the effective integration of Operations, Commissioning and maintenance activities. The role presents a rare opportunity to be part of establishing a new operating centre, which will aspire to the highest operating standards, comparable with the best facilities worldwide."
Key Accountabilities
"The maintenance planner will utilise Excel and SAP as part of the operations/R&M work coordination at the site. The maintenance planner will work closely with and provide input to the activity schedule who will utilise MSP/Primavera to create the Short-Long term schedules.
As part of the pre-operations activity the Maintenance Planner will develop and drive the execution of the interim maintenance program on equipment which has been handed over from the project into operations and to align these with activities with activities generated from the Work Management System (SAP) taking personal accountability for the development of an optimised / long term (Nested) Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance planner will support on the estimation/planning of emergent work and on the site validation of the Maintenance and Integrity Build. The focus will be to support the end to end implementation of the Planning Process.
Excellent knowledgeable in the use of Primavera (P6) and the ability to provide coaching/mentoring support to the Maintenance Schedulers in the Muscat team.
Where applicable the Maintenance Planner will support the Maintenance Team Leader to manage the available resources in the field and their ongoing commitments to Operations and Commissioning."
Essential Criteria
- NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in a suitable Engineering discipline, or an alternative qualification..
- At least 5 years experience utilising SAP as a Maintenance Planner
- Experience in Maintenance Planning activities associated with a gas, oil or petrochemical processing plant.
- Experience with control of work processes and safety rules.
- Demonstrated commitment to HSSE with strong safety behaviours demonstrated in previous roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in working with individuals, teams and the wider organisation.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in working as part of a multi-national operations team.
- Experience of maintenance planning and scheduling tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a difficult and challenging environment.
