Project HSE Specialist / Netherlands

Our Client is looking to hire a Projects HSE Specialist for its HSEQ department. The main challenge of this role is to coordinate safety requirements and other HSE matters with projects and drilling activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards. You will support various processes such as HSE Risk Management Process and Management of Change. You will conduct incident investigations, internal and contractor audits as and when required. You will travel to offshore and to contractor’s workplaces as and when required.

 

Key job responsibilities
• Manage and ensure that technical safety requirements are applied to Company projects in line with Company and Regulatory requirements in order to reach incident and injury free operations and compliance;
• Support projects and drilling activities onsite from HSEQ perspective, providing advice, conducting HSE inspections, etc.;
• Facilitate and/or support execution of RIE, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Assessments, Bow-ties assessments, etc. on an as needed basis;
• Conduct Incident Investigations on an as needed basis;
• Conduct internal and contractors’ audits on an as needed basis;
• Act as HSE Officer supporting emergency management process (on rotation);
• Implement and monitor HSE Management System requirements, where applicable;
• Provide advice to the HSEQ Manager on functional resource needs (manpower levels and experience / training / mentoring requirements).

 

Minimum Work experience & qualification
• Minimum MSc in Industrial Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical / operational safety preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry;
• Process Hazard Analysis Facilitators Training; Bow-tie training is considered a plus;
• Root Cause Analysis Facilitator training;
• Understanding of Health, Environment and Safety and government procedures and regulations related to offshore oil and gas operations.
