Lead Commissioning Engineer (E&I) / UAE

Our client have a requirement for a Lead Commissioning Engineer with an Electrical and Instrumentation background, for a permanent staff role based in UAE.

The Lead Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for:

Developing company mechanical completion manual

Developing and implementing mechanical completion and commissioning procedure project by project

Resource planning for each project

Developing and implementing handover procedure

Providing technical input into application of codes and standards related to Instrumentation, Electrical and Control automation

REQUIREMENTS:

BE or BS degree in engineering

15 years varied Instrumentation/Electrical systems design, installation, hook up and commissioning

Working knowledge of offshore Oil and gas industry codes

Experience in Instrumentation, electrical, control systems including DCS and PLC

Hands on mechanical completion, pre commissioning and commissioning experience

Offshore experience (required to work offshore for short and long periods)

Working knowledge of various control system including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Emeerson, Invensys

Knowledge of safety procedures for commissioning such as permit to work, Lock out tag out (LOTO) and familiarity with process safety management, mechanical completion systems.

Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Instrumentation selection and DCS, PC and Human machine Interface (HMI) programming skills

Proficient in various software/hardware development and trouble shooting skills

Leadership skills
