Engineering Technologist - Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Company / Algeria

Our client, one of the worlds largest Oil & Gas Exploration & Production companies, is hiring for a Geoscience Data Analyst, to work 28-days-on, 28-days-off, on site in North Africa.

This role involves data management, data analysis and interpretation, as you combine data, for example about asset performance, into Engineering and Geoscience databases such, as OFT, SpotFire and OpenWells, then use Excel, Access and VBA scripting to analyse the data to make recommendations about complex problems and processes. As well as being good at crunching data, you should also be happy communicating the results, in writing, via presentations and team meetings, plus training and developing local staff in the department.

For this role we are looking for 5-10 years Data Analyst or Engineering Technologist experience within the oil and gas industry, on top of an Engineering, Science, Maths, Computer Science, IT or Geoscience degree, with good programming skills for Excel, Access, VBA. This role would be ideal for an Engineer with programming skills who has been involved in a lot of data analysis, or a Business Analyst in the Energy sector.

The role is based at our client's remote operating camp, with all food, accommodation, flights provided, on a long-term contract, with 12 months pay for 6 months work, albeit long hours when you are on.
